Strictlys Giovanni and Rose getting closer after spending her birthday together

Rose Ayling-Ellis is continuing to grow close with her Strictly Come Dancing professional partner Giovanni Pernice after spending her birthday with him.

The EastEnders star – who is currently the favourite win the BBC dance show – celebrated her 27th birthday on Wednesday, but spent her day rehearsing for this weekend's live show.

A source tells OK! that her chemistry with 31 year old Giovanni is "magic" and they are growing closer as their journey on the show continues.

The source says: "There's a magic between Rose and Giovanni, you can't make it up. If you could bottle it, you'd sell it and make a fortune.

"They have so much respect for each other. You can see from the praise they're giving each other and the very open compliments and how proud the are of each other.

"She has taught him a lot and it's helping him realise what's real in life. They're teaching each other a lot of things.

"They are getting closer and closer day by day and spending much more time together than the other couples. They’ve got a very special connection."

Giovanni shared clips of the duo on their way to rehearsals, with him saying to the camera: "So today is your birthday. Happy birthday!

"We're going to celebrate today. How? Quickstep. You happy? All day quickstep."

Rose replies: "All day?," before jokingly looking downcast as Giovanni zooms in on her face, and finishing: "Thank you."

They then headed out for dinner, with the actress excitedly looking over a platter of food as Giovanni filmed her.

Strictly viewers were left in tears last weekend as they included a "special" silent moment in their dance to celebrate the deaf community.

Taking to Twitter, viewers said they were left sobbing over the "beautiful" moment as they begged that the show gave the duo the winning Glitterball trophy straightaway.

One person said: "I am full on sobbing at Rose and Giovanni’s couple’s choice dance. That moment when the music stopped, I was stunned and moved. Powerful and clever. Thank you Rose for allowing us access to your world. #Strictly."

A different account put: "Oh goodness, as ever I loved Rose and Giovanni’s dance on #Strictly No, you’re crying."
