Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid, 52, posted a selfie with co-presenter Ed Balls, 56, earlier this morning on Twitter.
“Back @gmb – join us!” she captioned the snap, which showed the ITV journalist flashing a broad grin as she posed next to the former Labour politician.
Responding to the selfie, one follower named Dean Edwards wrote: “Rather s*** in my hands n clap.”
Many of Susanna’s followers took to the comments section to call out Dean’s rather extreme response, but the GMB star also had a comeback of her own.
“Don’t let me stop you Dean,” Susanna responded cheekily with a pile of poo emoji.
Her reply tickeled some fans, with Carl writing “owned” with laughing and clapping emojis, while Harry quipped: “You have to do it now, Dean. Them’s the rules.” (sic)
Several other Twitter users also joined in on the joke, as Gavin wrote: “Be some mess that… Think about it now.”
“We will need video evidence so we can see which we’d rather do,” Rick added.
“Why you follow her then,” Pico pointed out, while Philip branded it a “vile comment”.

Susanna was back on ITV this morning after enjoying some time off, returning to the show with Ed at her side.
Today, the programme covered everything from the NHS strikes to Celebrity Mastermind.
Ed’s appearance comes one month on from when he accidentally swore live on air during the show.
Speaking about when EasterEnders legend Danny Dyer appeared on the programme, he asked: “I was here, he used the T word, are we allowed to say that this early?”
Susanna then stressed that the expletive was on the Ofcom list, but that didn’t stop the Strictly Come Dancing star from letting the word slip anyway.
“So you can’t say t**t?” he said, to which an exasperated Susanna replied: “You do know we are on air don’t you?’
“I apologise, then,” Ed replied sheepishly. “I didn’t mean to say that. I am sorry I didn’t know.”
Goog Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
