Sylvester Stallone, 76, has explained how he made a “tragic mistake” by allowing work to get in the way of spending time with his family. The Rocky actor’s claims come after he briefly split from his wife Jennifer Flavin, 54, earlier this year.
Sylvester and the rest of his family are currently filming a reality show for Paramount+, which was first announced in August this year.
The Stallones, which include daughters Sophia Rose, 26, Sistine, 24, and Scarlet, 20, are said to be working with the same team behind Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
In the past, the Hollywood star has expressed how he wants to make up for lost time following a number of unsuccessful movies he was involved in between the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Reflecting on this, he said: “I felt as though I wasted a lot of time. Now I realise there are only so many bullets left in the gun. Very few. When you’re young, you’re just haphazardly shooting wildly and hope you hit something.
“Now you don’t have the luxury of missing – especially with the family and the kids. I find that to be my biggest regret.
“Everyone goes, ‘I wish I’d shown love more’ or ‘I wish I’d spent more time with the kids.’ I’m riding that boat.”
He also went on to add that his desire to spend more time with his family was one of the main reasons behind his decision to film a new reality show with them.
Back in August, Sylvester made headlines after his wife of 25 years filed for divorce.
However, the pair have since reconciled and even shared a picture where they were holding hands just a month later in September.
Asked if his relationship with Jennifer would feature in the show, he confirmed that it would be included.
“Hopefully, you’re involved with people who understand the foibles of life and the fragility of it and how rare a real good relationship is,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.

“Sometimes I put the work ahead of [my family], and that is a tragic mistake which won’t happen again.”
Last month, Sylvester and wife Jennifer were spotted putting on a united front as they made a public appearance together after calling off their divorce.
Sylvester and Jennifer first dated in 1988 shortly after his brief second marriage to Brigitte Nielsen had broken down.
The pair had met in a Beverly Hills restaurant when she was just 20 years old, and he ended things to pursue a relationship with Janice Dickinson.
After Sylvester’s relationship with Janice failed, he got engaged to actress Angie Everhart, but that romance fizzled out and he ended up returning to Jennifer.
The pair got married on May 17, 1997 at the Dorchester Hotel in London and have since welcomed three children.
