The Chase’s ‘The Vixen’ Jenny Ryan furious as she’s ’fat-shamed’ by GP over phone

The Chase’s Jenny Ryan has been left furious after her GP ‘fat-shamed’ her over the phone.

Jenny, 39, also known as The Vixen on the hit ITV quiz show, The Chase, took to Twitter to share her rage and disgust at the comments made by the medical professional.

On Monday, Jenny wrote: "Isn't modern life great? Your GP can now fat-shame you over the phone, so you don't have to waste time travelling and sitting in a waiting room before being made to feel awful about your own existence!"

Her 101,000 followers quickly began liking and retweeting her post, before she retweeted it herself and shared the detail of the exchange.

She added: "Do you know your current weight?… Oh… That's *significantly* lower than last time, well done. Not good enough though, is it?"

Earlier this year, the 39 year old shared a stunning selfie on Instagram and penned: “Scrubs up okay after basically 18 months indoors".

The TV star is notoriously quiet about her private life, but the quiz-whizz had clearly been shocked by the inappropriate conversation with her GP to share it online.

Jenny also made a candid revelation on Twitter where she admitted she was the ‘weakest member’ of her pub quiz team, despite her infamous reputation on screen.

"Don't @ me but I am the weakest quizzer in the squad, enjoying playing alongside these quality teammates,” she wrote.

Jenny is known for her vast knowledge on The Chase and the successful spin off show, Beat the Chasers.

In spite of her competition on TV with her fellow chasers, Jenny has insisted that there’s no rivalry between her co-stars in real life.

The Vixen told OK!: “I always say my job is very stressful! But together we are like a family who support each other.”

She continues: “We’re in a very unique position. There’s nobody else in the country apart from the six of us who has our job. So we have to look after each other.”

While Jenny is a firm fan favourite on the hit show hosted by Bradley Walsh, she admits she has bigger ambitions for her career.

Jenny says: “I’d love to be the next Jeremy Paxman. We’ve not got enough female quizmasters on TV.”

“In fact, diversity is not well-represented at all. It does infuriate me when a new quiz show gets announced and it’s another middle-aged white man as the host.”

Jenny appears on the show alongside her fellow Chasers such as Anne 'The Governess' Hegerty, Shaun 'The Dark Destroyer' Wallace, Mark 'The Beast' Labbett, Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha and newest recruit Darragh 'The Menace' Ennis.
