Mike Flanagan is opening up about what would have happened in The Midnight Club season two.
The filmmaker co-created the Netflix series with Leah Fong, and it was just announced that the streaming service has canceled the show after one season.
Right after the show came out, Mike had shared that if the series wasn’t renewed, he would still share the answers to unresolved things in season one and what he would’ve had happen in season two.
“We also didn’t answer some of the bigger questions of the season,” he told press, via Variety. “Those answers exist, but were meant to be for the next season. If there isn’t one, I’ll put them up on Twitter. Then we’ll at least all be able to talk about it.”
After the cancelation news, he took to Twitter, writing, “I’m very disappointed that Netflix has decided not to pursue a second season of THE MIDNIGHT CLUB, but as promised, here are the answers to the unresolved mysteries of season 1 (along with our plans for season 2)”

In his tweet, he linked to a Tumblr post containing the answers and season two plans.
“My biggest disappointment is that we left so many story threads open, holding them back for the hypothetical second season, which is always a gamble,” Mike wrote in the blog post. “So I’m writing this blog as our official second season, so you can know what might have been, learn the fates of your favorite characters, and know the answers to those dangling story threads from the first season.”
“So for those of you who want to know what we were planning to do, here’s a look at what would have been season 2!” he added.

If you missed it, these titles are being removed from Netflix in December 2022…
