If there’s one thing fans of The Pioneer Woman star Ree Drummond love most about the television personality, it’s her relatability and transparency.
Drummond has shared in the past of her undying love of butter, her adoration for her husband Ladd, and of her growing celebrity crush on this Netflix show star.
Celebrity crushes aren’t new to Drummond
First things first: while the Food Network star doesn’t mind announcing her admiration of several high-profile stars, she makes it clear that her allegiance is first and only to her husband, Ladd, aka The Marlboro Man.
On her Pioneer Woman blog she stated: “Ladd and I always wind up together on the couch in the evenings, no matter how busy we’ve been throughout the day. We both have a soft spot for old Westerns, any of The Godfather movies and ’80s flicks. We’re on the same page with snacks, too. Queso for us and popcorn for the kids!”
After Ladd, however, the cookbook author has revealed on her blog that she’s had crushes on various celebrities, from Denzel Washington to Javier Bardem to Dermot Mulroney.
Drummond is a big fan of this Netflix show
Despite her busy schedule what with filming for her Food Network show, managing her Pioneer Woman Mercantile, the brand’s publications, and more, Drummond still makes time to watch her favorite shows. Among those is Cobra Kai, the Karate Kid sequel series that picks up where the ’80s films left off. Both the Netflix hit and the films feature actors Ralph Macchio and William Zabka.
In her 2020 review of the streaming service’s martial arts comedy-drama, Drummond called it “the most awesome thing I have watched in a long, long time.”
“Guys, I loved it,” she gushed. “I loved every minute. I loved every second! It’s a walk down memory lane, a redemption tale, a peek into the past and an appreciation of the present. I could go on and on.”
And Drummond is an even bigger fan of this ‘Cobra Kai’ star
So who’s Drummond’s most recent stated show/film crush? It’s William Zabka who plays Johnny Lawrence on the Netflix show. The auburn-haired celebrity chef called Zabka her “absolute favorite part of this whole series,” adding his “performance as Johnny is seamless. He was made for this role.”
And, she made a list of reasons for why she feels he’s crush-worthy.
“I now have a crush on William Zabka,” she said. “There’s just something about him! He’s fun to look at. He’s fun to watch. His character is a mess, and he’s vulnerable and really funny. But he’s also capable of redemption, and even though Johnny makes some strategic errors here and there, he ultimately wants to do what’s right.”
Of course, Drummond reminded readers that her husband is still her No. 1 but for at least right now, Zabka is firmly in second place.
