The Weekend‘s career-spanning compilation album, The Highlights, debuted atop Billboard‘s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
The Highlights earned 89,000 equivalent album units in the week ending February 11, according to MRC Data, giving the Weekend his seventh No. 1 on the chart.
The Weekend’s seven No. 1s in the decade from 2011 to 2021 give him the third-most in that span, behind only Future (12) and Drake (10).
The R&B superstar dropped The Highlights just two days before his performance during the Super Bowl LV halftime time.
Billboard noted The Highlights ends a drought for greatest-hits compilations, as the last such album to top the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart was The Notorious B.I.G.‘s Greatest Hits in 2007.
