The Weeknd‘s video for his new song “Take My Breath,” which was scheduled to air in IMAX theaters before The Suicide Squad this week, was pulled due to epilepsy warnings regarding to the “intense strobe lighting” in the clip.
“Take My Breath,” the singer’s first song after his blockbuster After Hours album, dropped on Friday at 12 am ET.
The Weeknd had previewed the heart-thumping “Take My Breath” on social media as well in an official promo for the Team USA Women’s Track & Field team at Tokyo Summer Olympics.
The Weeknd posted the clip on Twitter, which features athletes Sydney McLaughlin, Dalilah Muhammad, Athing Mu and Gabby Thomas, along with the caption: “8.6.21 new single.”
