Ruth Langsford has shared the excruciatingly embarrassing moment that Dr Amir Khan accidentally FaceTimed her naked as he was getting out of the shower.
The This Morning co-stars had been staying in a hotel together for work, but were both left blushing when Dr Amir began calling by mistake and left himself in a compromising position.
Dr Amir was in the studio to talk about his new book about life as a GP on Thursday, but Ruth's husband and co-host Eamonn Holmes had something else he needed to talk to the doctor about.
He joked: "The thing is though, I was on the edge of reporting you to the General Medical Council and maybe having you struck off because you sent an indecent phone call video to my wife whilst working with her. Explain, Ruth."
Ruth shared: "We were working together and staying in the same hotel and I said I'll see you for breakfast. My phone rang and I saw it was Dr Amir and I thought maybe he's calling to say he's going to be a bit late.
"But he'd actually FaceTimed me by accident from the shower. He'd just got out of the shower, he had no clothes, but I didn't look, I just went, 'oh! I think you need to turn that off!'."
Laughing in embarrassment, Dr Amir said: "I was so apologetic when I came downstairs and then you said the best thing, you went, 'oh Amir, it's fine, I'm just glad you're not one of those people who likes to FaceTime.' I thought I was going to get sacked!"
Ruth added that she hoped Dr Amir's mum, who he often says is critical of his TV performances, wouldn't be too cross about the awkward tale.
She said: "Give our love to Mama Khan – don't tell him off!"
Talking about his new book, The Doctor Will See You Now, Dr Amir told how he had once had to resuscitate a medical student who had gone into anaphylactic shock after a patient had brought two cats that he was allergic to into the surgery.
He said that he had to treat the patient, save the medical student and find one of the cats which had escaped, but admitted that the student never returned to his surgery.
