Frankie's mum, Tina – also mum to her brother Joey Essex – died by suicide in 2001 after suffering from depression.

Introducing her twins Logan and Luella to OK!, Frankie shared: “Now I realise, when people have their mums around and they help, what a dream that would be, especially when I’m worrying about what could go wrong with the babies.

"But Mum is here in spirit. My family and friends always tell me I don’t need to worry because she’s looking down on me, and I know she is. We’re so blessed, honestly. I believe that the twins were sent to us.”

Frankie was just 13 when she lost her beloved mum, and Joey was 10. After the tragedy, the siblings were brought up by dad Donny, now 63.

Her brother, fellow TOWIE star Joey, has also been open about the loss of their mum, saying it's still affecting his life.

Speaking in his BBC documentary, the 30 year old admitted that he has now turned to professional help to get through the grief of his mother's passing so he can start his own family one day.

"My mum loved me, but she left me. I just think to myself: 'If she loved me that much, why would she leave me?'" he says while overcome with tears.

He continued: "I've had loads of relationships but I always end up pushing them away.

"Imagine if I was with someone and I had kids with them, and I really did love that person and then she left me. I wouldn't know what to do. I'm already thinking we're gonna break up before we're together. I'm pushing it away," he added.
