Victoria Beckham weighed on TV 3 months after giving birth to Brooklyn in shocking moment

A resurfaced clip has shown Victoria Beckham being weighed live on TV three months after giving birth to her eldest son Brooklyn Beckham.

The now-48 year had appeared on the now defunct Channel 4 show TFI Friday in May 1999 when she was asked during her interview by host Chris Evans to check her weight on some scales.

Victoria had only welcomed son Brooklyn a few weeks prior and seemed to have been pressurised into going ahead with the request by Chris and the live audience in the studio.

The former Spice Girl is seen in the throwback clip wearing a black strappy top and trousers and is sporting her classic short 1990s crop during the chat, as she is watched by fiancé David Beckham in the wings.

After discussing the footballer’s FA Cup Final with former team Manchester United, talk turns to Victoria’s post-baby figure, as Chris says: “A lot of girls want to know, because you look fantastic again, how did you get back to your shape after birth?”

Appearing uncomfortable, the designer mentions that she’s been “really lazy” and not yet returned to the gym since becoming a mum, leading Chris to continue questioning her about her weight.

“Is your weight back to normal?” he asks, to which Victoria replies: “Yes it is.”

“Can I check, do you mind?” the host pushes disturbingly.

Appearing shocked at the request, Victoria says: “Oh no, you did this to Geri [Halliwell], didn’t you!” as she adds that her former bandmate was “really small” before stepping onto the scales.

The camera then pans further towards the scales for viewers to get a clear view of the weight reading, which Chris calls out: “Eight stone’s not bad at all, is it.”

Audience members can be heard cheering in the studio after the humiliating scene as Victoria pulls the host on the scales also in a bid to get her revenge on him.

A couple of years later, the ex popstar released her memoir Learning to Fly in which she detailed “living on vegetables and nothing else” during her time in the Spice Girls.

The resurfaced clip comes after Victoria recently featured on the cover of Grazia magazine as she discussed her changing attitude to her body image as gets older.

“I think women today want to look healthy and curvy [instead],” she told the publication.

“It's not about being a certain size. It's about knowing who you are and being happy with who you are.”
