So it sounds like Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky are not splitting up after all!! At least, that’s what the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star herself is now claiming on Instagram.
As Perezcious readers will recall, on Monday afternoon, we posted shocking news that insiders had revealed Kyle and Mauricio had separated. As the story from inside sources went, the longtime Bravo star and her real estate mogul man had been separated while continuing to live under the same roof. Things sounded like they were ending amicably in that report, but still — the ending in and of itself was a surprise. But now maybe that’s not the case?!
Late on Monday night, Kyle took to her IG account to push back against reports of the couple’s allegedly impending divorce.
In a brief but straightforward message, she wrote that the last year has been “the most challenging one” of their 27-year marriage, and added:
“In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding us divorcing are untrue. However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously.”
Then, the longtime reality TV star continued:
“There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately. While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative. Thank you for the love and support. Kyle & Mauricio”

Wow.
For what it’s worth, Kyle closed the comments on the post, so nobody on that social media app can get a word in edgewise. (Not that followers’ opinions matter in this situation, of course. But it’s interesting to note how they are trying to lock down any openly rampant speculation on the page itself.)
Anyways, these two first tied the knot way back in 1996. They have three daughters together — Sophia, Alexia, and Portia — and have also both had very visible careers in the public eye. Not only has Kyle been a longtime mainstay on RHOBH, but Mauricio recently made his own reality TV push by leading a new Netflix real estate-focused show called Buying Beverly Hills.
Between the separation report on Monday afternoon and the outright denial late on Monday night, clearly something is going on here. But what??
