Rita Moreno has marked her 90th birthday as she extended her gratitude to fans and followers. The actress thanked those who wished her a happy birthday as she posted a collection of hilarious photos from her celebrations.
Rita also extended a shout-out to her daughter and included photos from her own birthday celebrations.
She explained that it was her most memorable birthday yet.
The photos included a picture of her wearing a soft cone hat which read “old AF” while in a room celebrating her birthday.
The West Side Story star said: “Belated gratitude post.
“Thank you to everyone who called, texted, insta’ed, tweeted, etc. for my big 9-0.
“This year was extremely meaningful having multiple celebrations on each coast with those near and dear to me!
“This one was the most memorable, hands down!
“Special shout-out to my girl Nandy for orchestrating everything and being by my side especially these past few weeks! @nandynandiz
“Photos from the last hoorah at home after weeks of celebrating and premiering @westsidestorymovie.”
The actress was the original star of West Side Story when the film was released in 1961.
She attended the premiere to the Steven Spielberg remake in December as well.
She shared this news with her 239,000 followers.
Fans were quick to pay respect to Rita and wish her a happy birthday on the comments of her post.
Even some of her celebrity friends made their way into her comments.
Rachel Zegler said: “This is perfect.”
Justin Peck also commented, playfully twisting the words on Rita’s hat.
He said: “Young AF.”
