Princess Beatrice gave birth to her first child on September 18, welcoming a baby daughter with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. While the royals haven’t released the name of Bea and Edo’s child, we do know one thing: she has a fancy new title. But she didn’t get it from the British royal family!
While Bea’s child won’t get a title from her princess mom (more on that in a moment), she will get one from her dad. Turns out Edoardo’s father is Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi, and Edo (also a count) will inherit the family’s ancestral palace in Italy. Princess Beatrice actually became an Italian Contessa when she and Edo married in 2020, which means their daughter will also have the Contessa title.
Edo’s father explained this in detail to the Daily Mail saying, “Edoardo is the only male descendent taking the family into the next generation. He is a count, his wife will be a countess automatically and any of their children will be counts or nobile donna.”
