Prince William has reportedly taken on the role of the "tough guy" with a particular "swagger walk" following the bombshells in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Netflix documentary, according to a body language expert.
It's been a whirlwind day for the Royal Family today (December 15) as fans were glued to the final three episodes in the series and all the fresh claims from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex about their time as senior Royals.
But only a few hours later, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, hosted her second Together at Christmas carol service in Westminster Abbey – a positive event where the Royals came out in force for support.
As the group put on a united front in the face of more claims against The Firm, the Prince of Wales in particular looked stoic next to his wife and children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
But while the Prince of Wales is unable to share his side of the story as a senior member of the Royal Family, body language expert Judi James said onlookers could see he was showing his "tough guy swagger", with wife Kate mirroring him.
She told The Mirror that William, Kate and their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte all lined up to walk in together excitedly, but the confidence soon showed.
"William holds onto Charlotte’s hand but although Kate allows her hand to hang close to George’s she seems aware that he might prefer to walk in without holding on, although he receives a gently guiding hand on the back from Kate," she explained.
"Kate looks excited to show her children the decorations at the event but the stand-out feature is how George mimics his father’s walk as they go into the venue.
"Both seem to walk with a bit of a Mike Tindall-style tough-guy swagger, with arms down at their sides and smiles on their faces," the expert went on.
It comes after Prince Harry, in his Netflix docuseries, claimed his brother Prince William "screamed and shouted" at him during a meeting about his and wife Meghan Markle's future way of working.
Recalling it was "terrifying", Harry says in his and Meghan's explosive programme: "It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me, and my father say things that just simply weren't true, and my grandmother, you know, quietly sit there, and sort of take it all in."
The meeting on what was later dubbed "Megxit" took place at Sandringham in January 2020 and Meghan was not invited.
"It was clear they planned it so you weren't in the room," Harry tells Meghan in the series. "I was not invited to have a seat at the table," she adds.
Harry and Meghan announced they were stepping back as senior working royals in January 2020.
The royal goes on to explain his grandmother's perspective, saying: "But you have to understand that, from the family's perspective, especially from hers, there are ways of doing things, and her ultimate sort of mission, goal, slash responsibility is the institution.
"People around her are telling her, by the way, that proposal, or these two doing X, Y, Z, is going to be seen as an attack on the institution. Then she's gonna go on the advice that she's given. It was really hard."
He continues: "That meeting finished without any, like, solidified action plan.
"I think, from their perspective, they had to believe that it was more about us, and maybe the issues that we had, as opposed to their partner, the media, and themselves, and that relationship that was causing so much pain for us."
He adds: "They saw what they wanted to see".
Harry says the meeting was called after he told his father their plans of how they wanted to relocate to Canada and work in a different way for a minimum of two years.
Opening up further about the meeting, which involved Harry, William, Charles and The Queen, Harry says he was presented wit "five options".
"I went in with the same proposal we’d made publicly but once I got there I was given five options," he says.
"One being all in no change and option five all out. I chose option three in the meeting which was half in half out, have our own jobs but also work in support of The Queen, but it became very clear very quickly that that goal was not up for discussion or debate."
