Zara Tindall’s daughter Lena looked to be having a great time as she watched her mother compete in horse trials on Bank Holiday Monday.
The royal’s middle child was seen sporting a colourful butterfly face paint as she played around at the Wellington Horse Trials while mum Zara, 41, took part in the equestrian event.
Lena, four, was pictured larking about as she rolled over and performed some acrobatics and wore a grey top with a denim skirt and a pair of red Nike trainers.
The active youngster, who is sibling to elder sister to Mia Grace, eight, and younger brother Lucas, one, was also seen with a dog during her trip and even got her hands on a phone at one point to take photos.
Mum Zara was seen in full concentration during the trials as she sat on top her horse Classical Euro Star, and wore a navy blue riding jacket with a pair of white jodhpurs and a black helmet, with matching gloves and a pair of tall riding boots.
Before competing, the Queen’s granddaughter had sported a more causal outfit as she inspected the course, consisting of a dark blue zipped gilet and a pair of denim shorts and held onto a pink cap.
Zara has participated in three equestrian events this month, having taken part in two also on 5 and 11 of August. She is set to compete again at the Burghley Horse Trials on 1 September.
Zara’s husband Mike Tindall, whom she has been married to for 11 years, appeared to have sat this outing out, presumably as he looked after the couple’s two other children at home.
The remaining Royal Family are said to be spending quality time with the Queen as she has enjoyed her annual summer break in Scotland.
The 96 year old monarch was last seen publicly flying to Aberdeen Airport as she began her holiday on 21 July.
Since her stay up north, the Queen is thought to have been visited at her Scottish estate by “lots of the great grandchildren”, a source told the Mail Online.
Prince William and Kate Middleton ventured north of the border just last week to see the Queen with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, while Prince Charles is said to be visiting the Queen daily.
