A porn addiction life coach has warned that the increasingly popular step-family categories on adult websites could be influencing incest crimes.
The "fauxcest" videos, which have become 40 times more popular than they were a decade ago, which some concerned TikTok users believe are influencing young people's fantasies.
Among the concerned users is Joshua Shea, a pornography addiction expert, who took to TikTok claiming to have spotted a correlation between popular taboo videos and reports of incest.
In the clip which has gained more than 78,800 likes, @thatcorncoach said: "If you look at the most popular adult websites in the world, they will tell you that they don't feature incest or incest fantasy pornography – and that's true to a degree.
"If you search for the word incest, it won't show up. However, if you search for daddy, step-mom, step-sister, brother, you will find an endless supply of videos because it's the number one genre in the world.
"Isn't that kind of interesting considering that basically every country, every religion, every culture has such a strong incest taboo. It's also interesting to note that up until just a few years ago, you can go back decades.
"The number one reported form of incest abuse is father to daughter. Yet in the last few years, the number one reported his older brother, younger sister.
"Do you think the prevalence of porn has caused any of this? It's an interesting question to ask."
TikTok users agree that porn could be warping the minds of young people that are learning about sex from watching videos online.
One user wrote: "I think it says something about us that society isn't ready to hear yet."
Another added: "They be messing with youth minds."
A third commented: "Can't understand this stepsis thing going on. A Stepsis is still a sister."

A fourth said: "They are normalizing it… so when kids get curious at 11, they see oh, well I guess it IS normal and not a big deal it's happening to me."
However, others claimed that taboo categories on porn sites have nothing to do with it as one user said: "Step = not blood related just so you know."
Another added: "It's almost like people can differentiate between fantasy and the real thing."
A third wrote: "Easy they have the best storylines."
