Andrew Tate breaks silence with cryptic ‘smiley face’ tweet from house arrest

Social media personality Andrew Tate posted a cryptic pair of tweets just hours after being released from jail and put under house arrest.

Tate was arrested on December 29 2022 as part of an investigation by Romanian authorities into trafficking, organised crime and rape allegations.

Tate was arrested alongside his brother Tristan Tate, 34, Luana Radu, 32, and Georgina Naghel, 28, but all four have now been released under house arrest.

The Court of Appeal in Bucharest ruled that the four could leave jail but can’t leave their homes unless specifically given permission by the judge.

None of them have been formally charged – they will remain under house arrest until April 29.

In the hours following his release, Andrew Tate, 36, tweeted several messages out to his 5.5million followers but two were particularly cryptic.

The first was simply a smiley face emoji, followed by a second which discussed his next email send out followed by, “God is great”.

Tate has been extremely active on Twitter in the first hours since he was let out of jail with several retweets and original posts flooding out of his account.

Among the posts are sweeping claims and generalisations about social values, videos of him pacing his kitchen smoking a cigar and claims about his music taste.

A spokesperson for the Tate brothers said: "We are ecstatic to announce the Romanian judicial system approved Andrew’s and Tristan Tate’s appeal against last week’s extension decision.

"They will be placed under house arrest while the investigation continues.

"We are appreciative of the judge and courts for allowing the brothers to return home."

They have been accused of luring women under the false pretences of love, relationships and even marriage before using them to shoot pornographic content.

Tate denies the charges and claims Romanian authorities have no evidence.
