Some Bigfoot enthusiasts are convinced that the mythical creature has been pictured after spooky images were shared online.
Two snaps of the supposed Sasquatch were posted to Facebook page Bigfoot Believers.
The original poster explained that, after the images were captured, the creature "doubled back and ripped [a] trail cam off [a] tree" which "was found about 100 yards away".
The intriguing pictures have done the rounds within the online Sasquatch believer community and were reposted on Instagram page bigfootevidence, alongside the caption: "Bears don’t have legs that long!?!? What do we think, folks?"
Several people agreed, with one writing: "The front arms just don't seem to be bear-like, nor the head."
"If you think this is a bear then unfriend me now," declared a second.
A third person said: "If it was a bear you’d see it’s claws on the back feet. But you see toes!"
While a fourth believer said: "Not a bear. A bear would have no knowledge of being photographed and then tear down the camera."
Others, however, disagreed.
One person said: "Bears will tear up cameras, feeders and stands, they are very destructive according to what a friend of mine told me that hunts on a lease and has bears."
Another explained: "It is a bear in my opinion, look at the trailing foot. Also they like the insulation on the trail cam housing, it smells like ants to them."
"It's a bear with its back paw outstretched. If you've seen a thinner bear you would know," agreed a third.
There was also a third school of thinking among the Bigfoot enthusiasts, suggesting that it may not be either a bear or a mythical beast.
One person thought it was a "free roaming gorilla adapted to it's environment", adding: "Trail cam smells like human, he hates humans, and knocks it down. Just a thought."
A second person agreed, writing: "A bear don't have a butt like that.. and the way it put its arm down it does more look like a gorilla."
