A man declared dead by a hospital was found alive and breathing in a body bag only to die of hypothermia two days later.
Brazilian José Ribeiro was admitted to hospital in February for advanced tongue cancer with a doctor declaring him to have died at a hospital in Goiás, central Brazil, on November 29.
The 62-year-old was placed in a body bag and stored inside a refrigerator in a morgue for five hours.

He was then transported to a funeral home.
But a worker on shift noticed that, shockingly, the man's eyes were open and he was breathing.
He was then rushed to hospital but died two days later, having apparently caught hypothermia from the fridge.
The doctor who signed Ribeiro's death certificate has since been suspended and he is now being investigated for an alleged homicide.
Ribeiro's family meanwhile are still trying to grapple with how Ribeiro ended up needlessly dying.

His sister Aparecida was alerted to the incident and rushed to the funeral parlour before taking her brother to Rialma Municipal Hospital.
But the damage had already been done.
"It is unbelievable what has happened. My brother spent five hours in a plastic bag, chilled," Aparecida said.
"It was horrible, such a situation is unacceptable."
Police, having originally believed the incident to have been an accident, now think his death may have been caused deliberately.
"The cause of death being hypothermia increases the responsibility of the doctor, so we are going to change the classification of the investigation, which was previously classified as an attempted murder, today (Friday), it is a consummated homicide, due to possible malice," police said in a statement.
