Boozed-up Russian troops detonate grenade in crazy Christmas Eve bar brawl

A pair of thuggish Russian soldiers home from Ukraine in time for Christmas detonated a grenade after a crazy bar brawl that left one person hospitalised.

Reports in Russia state that mobilised sergeant Artem Shapovalov and volunteer private Ivan Kireevsky had been serving in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine.

On Christmas Eve, the brutes, from the village of Podgorensky in the Voronezh region in southwestern Russia, were headed to a grocery store but took the scenic route via a bar.

The Insider reported that "the group began to drink alcohol and eventually got into a fight with other guests."

Kireevsky then took out an F-1 grenade and threw it into the cafe parking lot, the publication reported.

The Russian F1 is a high-explosive, defensive, fragmentation, hand grenade, nicknamed the Limonka (lemon-like), used as an anti-personnel grenade.

Local man Sergei Chernogorov was injured by the blast and rushed to hospital while two cars were damaged, as well as the cafe bar.

Last month, a mobilised soldier accidentally shot and killed a fellow serviceman with an AK-47 assault rifle in Russia’s Kursk region.

It comes after bungling Russian military chiefs sent a draft order to the mother of a child who died 14 years ago.

Sergei Chernoskutov was born in 2006 in Yekaterinburg, over 1000 east of Moscow, but died in 2008 from hydrocephalus, a build-up of fluid in the brain.

Even still, reports in Russia state that a draft letter was dropped in the family's mailbox, as opposed to being hand delivered by an officer.

On the pretence that he was 16-years-old and fit for military service, the letter urged the young man to go to an army registration and enlistment office in the city’s Chkalovsky District on January 26, 2023.
