Yorkshire ghost hunters have shared photos of a phantom-like figure they captured on camera during a recent expedition to a Scottish island.
Linzi and Lee Steer, from Rotherham, Yorkshire, run Project reveal – Ghosts of Britain, a UK-based ghost-hunting group, and dedicate their time to finding spooky spirits.
On a trip away, the couple captured footage of what their fans believe is an apparition, with the pair claiming it's one of the clearest they've ever spotted – despite having over 20 years of ghost-hunting experience between them.
Linzi told Yorkshire Live: "I just can't get over it. It is so clear and distinctive."
The pair spotted the photo after a visit to Inveraray Jail in the Scottish region of Argyll and Bute.
The paranormal investigators go on daily ghost hunts, live-streaming the expeditions to their Facebook page and asking viewers to screenshot any unusual sightings.
But when they looked back at the photos from the recent trip, they were left shocked by what they saw.
Multiple screenshots from fans show a figure poking out from behind a waxwork model, Linzi explained.
She said she could not see the figure while she was filming and is unable to explain what viewers saw.
Linzi said: "We try to debunk everything, but there's no dummy there in that particular area.
"It is definitely not human. If it was one of us you could tell with the colouring, but it looked very transparent," she added.
And the spooky spectre wasn't the only paranormal part of their trip, with husband Lee revealing he had what seemed to be a close encounter when looking around the site's jail blocks.
"I walked into one of them and I felt a tickling sensation on my throat, and it started to get more intense to the point where I had to run outside," he said.
The couple were later told by staff at the jail blocks that many people have reported feeling a choking sensation in the exact same spot where Lee had the strange experience.
"That is the first time I've ever felt that kind of thing," Lee added.
"I'm actually sceptical when it comes to ghosts."

This is one of a number of recent paranormal activity across the UK, with reports of man-hating poltergeist ordering visitors to "f*** off" from Dead Woman's Ditch, a popular spot in Somerset.
The spirit, which reports have suggested is a woman in white, whispers and shouts swear words, telling people to leave the beautiful countryside location in the Quantock Hills.
Ghost hunter Robert Pulme said: "I came down to have a look after I saw so many reports being made online in forums, and I can't quite believe what I found.
"There is definitely a presence and it is definitely angry. This is a woman scorned and she doesn't want anyone near where she is. She particularly hates men."
