Cadillac debuted its InnerSpace autonomous car concept at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in a short film that is as dramatic as the two-seater luxury vehicle.

The curved display allows passengers to select from Augmented Reality Engagement, Entertainment and Wellness Recovery themes for their drive.
Cadillac announced InnerSpace in a cinematic-like teaser, complete with sensational music and effects, about a wealthy couple exploring the world while traveling in the autonomous vehicle.
GM, which owns Cadillac, is one of the many companies that pulled out of attending CES in-person and instead, opted for an online presentation – all of which is due to the lingering coronavirus pandemic.

The GM-owned company says its ‘new InnerSpace concept reimagines that vision, with a fully autonomous experience that allows two passengers to focus on their journey and not driving.’
Bryan Nesbitt, GM executive director, Global Advanced Design and Global Architecture Studio, said in a statement: ‘Electrification and autonomous driving will fundamentally change the role of vehicles and the experiences customers have with them.
‘We’re exploring where that will go with these innovative concepts, envisioning mobility as an ally of wellness, giving customers the ultimate luxury, more personal time rather than taking it.’
On the exterior, the dramatically designed InnerSpace features expansive, panoramic glass on the roof and part of the body sides for almost unimpeded views.

The Cadillac InnerSpace also includes the latest technology, including ‘biometric input and AI machine learning.’
The vehicle is fitted with silent Goodyear tires that feature SoundComfort technology for a quiet ride.
InnerSpace is part of Cadillac’s Halo Concept Portfolio, which debuted a year ago at CES with an urban air mobility vehicle and a shared autonomous shuttle.

During last year’s CES, which was hosted online only, GM showcased a single-seater electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft that tops speeds of 56mph.
And it also debuted a luxury autonomous shuttle that seats two passengers.
The sleek, self-driving drone would be GM’s first push into aerial mobility.
The firm says it boasts four rotors powered by a single 90-kWh electric motor that produces speeds up to 56 mph.
GM did not reveal much else regarding its autonomous flying taxi, but is targeting the luxury travel market if and when it launches.
‘It’s a concept for a moment when time is of essence and convenience is everything,’ Simcoe said.
GM also showed off a rectangular-shaped Cadillac Personal Autonomous Vehicle (PAV) that provides a social space for passengers – similar to a limo but without a driver at the wheel.
