Fed up locals in a British village with an unfortunate name have gone to extreme measures to stop a road sign being stolen.
Residents of Cock Bridge in Aberdeenshire have been plagued by thieves taking the opportunity to steal the village sign welcoming newcomers to the area – and they say they're sick of it.
The sign shot to fame after it became a source of ridicule by legendary radio presenter the-late Terry Wogan throughout his career.

And now local councillors are trying to make a “tamper proof” sign, after someone stuck a sticker on the sign with the hashtag #SendNudes.
The signs were stolen in the summer, and have yet to be replaced.
A spokesman for the council said: “We are aware of the issues with this sign and are working to replace it using more robust tamper-proof fixings.”
And local councillor Geva Blackett said: “Those signs continually get targeted as do another lot in my ward – the signs for Lost. The signs for Lost are continually lost.
“People who take them think it’s amusing and they end up on somebody’s wall as a souvenir.
“But every time they are replaced it costs money which means another pothole does not get filled or a school book does not get replaced.

“I’m sure the ingenuity of the council engineers will now come up with a thief-proof sign for Cock Bridge – and I hope I’m not proved wrong.”
According to local tourism experts About Britain, other than the infamous sign, there isn't really much else to do in the area.
However, there is a castle trail near the area, which leads to a sixteenth century defensive tower where a woman called Margaret Forbes was burned to death in 1571 by a family she was feuding with call the Gordons.
She was killed alongside 26 other people in the castle – which still remains standing today.
