A woman who was arrested after crashing her car while driving under the influence tried to bribe a police officer with "Bridgerton style sex" in exchange for letting her go.
Esther Martinez explained to Officer Growneweg that she had just come from watching the show Bridgerton while drinking heavily, to celebrate two months being sober after being released from rehab earlier that day.
According to documents, the 32-year-old, from Nashville, US, had been drinking tequila, straight from the bottle and taken some prescription medication before being arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
But as the charges were being explained to her, she made a number of sexual comments toward the officer and suggested they act out the passionate love scenes from the hit Netflix show.
The police report written by Officer Growneweg reads: "While on the way to night court to obtain a search warrant, Mrs. Martinez began to make numerous sexual comments, she made statements about showing her breasts to get the arresting officer to let her go/release her from custody.
"She offered to have sex with the arresting officer, give oral sex in exchange for being released, show her breasts to influence the arresting officer.

"She made comments about having sex/oral sex in the backseat of the patrol vehicle. Mrs Martinez asked to the effect what the arresting officer would do if she pulled out her breasts.
"Mrs Martinez attempted to get the officer to change the arrest decision. It was only after the officer became hostile that she stopped. She then began to insult/acting out instead of flirting during the arrest.

"It is important to note that she stated she was watching Bridgerton and supposedly the sex scenes. She made statements to the effect that she was horny as a result or in a combination of the tv show and her excessive tequila consumption."
Ms Martinez was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on April 18 and was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), resisting arrest, and assault of a police officer. Her bond has been set at $10,000 (£7k).
