Elon Musk to buy own silver mine in bid to ‘solve biggest weakness’, pal says

Elon Musk could be about to solve one of his biggest weaknesses, according to an expert.

Writer Robert Kiyosaki, who is a long-time supporter of the billionaire Twitter owner, has claimed that Musk's main issue is the semi-precious metal silver.

Due to Musk's main businesses – Tesla, SpaceX and Twitter – being in the tech sphere, it is thought that the 51-year-old uses a lot of silver in his products.

From cars to rockets, he needs a lot of it as it is used in electrical wiring and thermal conductivity.

When it comes to Twitter, the servers – of which the site uses several of them – use silver inside for cooling and conductivity.

And Kiyosaki has divulged what could possibly be Musk's next mega-millions purchase – and he might have an inside track on Musk, as the pair are thought to be close.

Taking to Twitter, the author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad, posted: “ELON’s WEAKNESS is silver.

“All of his businesses burn silver. He will probably buy his own silver mine.

“I own a mine and real silver coin – spot price silver low.

“Losers complain about silver’s high premiums, spot low because price manipulation.

“Be like Elon and me – pay the premium.”

Silver is also a key raw material for Tesla's energy, which uses solar panels where silver is a key component of conducting electricity through capturing the sun's rays.

It had been rumoured that Musk bought around £400million's worth of silver in January, but he never confirmed it.

It was thought that the eye-watering amount was purely for Tesla's car manufacturing business, however.

As of yesterday (Tuesday, December 6), the world's richest man Musk had lost around £2billion in net value compared to last year.

Despite that, he is still worth a whopping £87bn – so buying a silver mine shouldn't be much of an issue for the controversial tech mogul.
