A takeaway fanatic who has travelled across the country trying out fast food was left 'gutted' yesterday after his trusty camping chair finally gave way.
Leeds funnyman Danny Malins, 42, was forced to finally concede he had grown 'too fat for it' after the chair, which he has used '260 times' buckled under his weight.
Danny has made a name for himself over the course of the pandemic by charting his uplifting British takeaway journey on his YouTube page: Rate My Takeaway.
Amazingly he now has over 460,000 subscribers and his constant uploading means he gets thousands of views a day.
However, despite these impressive milestones, yesterday's episode was a day of mourning after 'Old Faithful' gave up the ghost.
Central to the appeal of Danny's adventures is his DIY mindset to takeaway, forgoing the store's official seating and opting for his own camping chair and table.
Danny has eaten everywhere from the side of a road to a pub car park – but yesterday on the cobbles of The Leggers Inn in Dewsbury his number came up.
Following the collapse, a distraught Danny picked himself up from the floor and bade a tearful farewell to his old friend.
"Come here mate", he said as he caressed it, "RIP chair, I love you. You were a big part of 2021.
"I'm going to have to find one that's stronger, I can't believe it, I love you.
"I need to go the pub tonight to drown my sorrows."

After news of Danny's loss broke his legions of fans flocked to his Twitter to pay their respects.
One said: "You always hear about it but never think it will be one so close to you. Truly tragic but heaven just gained a practical seating option."
Another thanked it for its service, writing: "Poor Danny, I'm so sorry for your loss. RIP Chair, you gave your all for our entertainment and we thank you for your service."
One simply screamed "Nooooo", such is the nature of grief.
