A blacked out island on Google Maps has sparked a mystery among users of the popular site.
The mysterious looking piece of land has caused a stir for forum members on Reddit with one member refers to it as 'God's guitar pick.'
Users describe the island as something out of the popular TV series Lost or a covered-up island similar to Area 51, the secretive and classified site in the US desert.
The outside of the island shows a light blue sea with waves crashing against golden sandy beaches around the land.
Yet the middle of the island appears to have been completely blacked out by Google Maps.
