A huge UFO-like red cloud was spotted hovering over a Turkish city, shocking residents below.
The strange sight appeared in the sky above Bursa, northwestern Turkey, on Thursday (January 19).
The huge cloud was identified as a lenticular cloud but looked more like something from another planet as astounded witnesses filmed the phenomenon on their phones and shared the bizarre sight to social media, with some of the clips making it to YouTube and Twitter.

In one snippet, the dense cloud appeared bright red, with an outer circle and an inner circle, with dark, shadowy rings separating them.
Panning down to the rooftops below, it was clear just how enormous the clouds were as chimneys were dwarfed by the meteorological phenomenon.
And it wasn't only Bursa residents who were startled by the giant cloud – astounded viewers were quick to comment on the bizarre occurrence.
"It’s like alien is about to land from that portal. Creepy," one wrote.
Another added: "Never seen this before […] So dense at the center that even light cannot pass," while another added: "Ufo like? It is a cloud or is it unidentified and 'flying'?"

The almost-circular cloud first made an appearance at sunrise and retained its strange, flying saucer shape for about an hour before it started to vanish, the Guardian reported.
Lenticular clouds typically appear 2,000 to 5,000 metres above the ground and are an indication of "mountain waves in the air", according to the Met Office.
They are known for their curved, almost extraterrestrial-looking form.
The strange clouds are formed from moisture in the atmosphere and are sculpted by the wind. Cool, mountainous air helps to cool the moisture droplets which then condense, making the strange clouds visible.
The clouds can appear "when the air is stable and winds blow across hills and mountains from the same or similar direction at different heights," officials said.
