If you could travel to any time in the past or future, where would you go?

We’ve all wanted to have the ability to travel in time at one point in our lives, even if it’s just to rewind by five minutes to word something we said a little differently or avoid an embarrassing moment.

Unfortunately, time travel is something limited to science fiction, and everything we’ve ever said or done in the past sticks with us, albeit as a lesson for the future.

There are of course several people who have claimed that time travel is possible, with some even claiming to have done it themselves.

Social media is full of individuals who say they are visitors from the future who have come to warn us about alien invasions, climate change, nuclear world war and all sorts of events that make it seem like a very bleak place to live.

Likewise, there are a number of photographs from the past that apparently show people dressed in modern-day clothing and using modern technology circulating around the internet.

But so far there is no proof that time travel is possible or could even be made possible, and if there are time travellers out there, it has got to be the world’s best kept secret.

Nonetheless, time travel still fascinates us, and has been the inspiration behind many of our favourite sci-fi movies and TV shows including Back to the Future and Dr Who.

If time travel were possible, however, we would be spoiled for choice as to where we could go, whether that be the past or the future.

By travelling to the past, we could witness first-hand key events in our history and possibly even meet some of our greatest ancestors in person.

Going back to the past could also possibly allow us to fix mistakes and prevent the many disasters of history from happening, although we’d have no idea how doing this would affect other events in the future.

Visiting the future, on the other hand, could allow us to get a sneak peak into where humanity is going, and possibly even steal ideas and inventions you could bring back with you to the present. At very least, you’d get a heads up on the lottery numbers.

We’d love to hear where you’d travel in time. If you’d like to share your opinion, drop it in the comments and we’ll highlight the best ones when they come in.
