A recent sighting of Bigfoot by an American engineer could change everything we’ve come to know about the mythical creature.
The latest sighting was reported in November by a man in Illinois, known as the capital state of Bigfoot sightings with the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization reporting 300 encounters in the state alone.
What sets this sighting apart however is the humongous scale of the creature the unknown explorer claims to have encountered.
According to the man, he ran into the creature just outside of Chanderville.
It was reportedly fast, athletic and gigantic – able to cover a two lane road in two strides.
The beast was covered in black fur that the man claims was shiny.
Speaking to the Chicago Tribune, the man said: “It jumped into the darkness and I was kind of freaked out about it.
“I said to myself out loud, ‘(Expletive) Bigfoot!’”
The man says does not want his identity revealed as he does not want to be known as 'Mr Bigfoot' but claims he is under no delusions as to what he saw.
And it seems he's being taken seriously, with Matthew Moneymaker of the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization grading the man’s sighting as Class A, or very reliable.

It's not the only sighting in recent months as three terrified forest workers also claim they spotted what they believe was a yowie while on their way home in a remote town in Australia.
Seamus FitzGerald and his two mates were driving back from work on the plantation fields at Jimna, Queensland on December 4 2021, when they caught sight of an 'ape-like' figure at the side of the road.
He claimed the mysterious creature stood up and looked at them. It had an ape-like face, and dark red hair or fur.

Seamus told The Courier Mail: "We initially thought it was a boar or a really big animal until we got closer and saw it runoff in a very apelike way.
"I've never really had a paranormal or strange experience like that before. I hardly slept that night and the feeling was overwhelming that I had seen something that I never believed in previously."
A yowie is a creature commonly seen in Aboriginal folklore which is said to roam the Outback. It is typically described a tall and ape-like, similar to Bigfoot, and scared of humans.
