A self-proclaimed future-telling prophet dubbed "the modern-day Nostradamus" says fellow fortune tellers from around the world are flocking to him for guidance.

Athos Salomé, 36, claims to have already had several of his Earth-shattering predictions come true; from Russia's invasion of Ukraine to Covid-19 and most recently, the Queen's death.

The Brazilian has told the Daily Star how he first recognised he had abilities others didn't at 12-years-old, but kept them hidden to shut himself off from mockery.

Now, however, Athos has embraced his extraordinary abilities and become a figurehead for people who he describes as having "very acute senses".

Athos' inbox is barraged with people who say they have been suppressing their visions through fear of being called "crazy".

He told the Daily Star: "After several international publications and newspapers, I receive daily several emails, messages on social networks and even phone calls from people with the same abilities which they've been hiding for years for fear of being labelled as crazy.

"People asking for help with reports and fantastical evidence. In a hypocritical society like the one we live in, I do not take away the reason of their fear, I also had fear for years, until it was totally resolved.

"I have also been through several professionals and nothing is wrong, just someone with more sensitive senses."

Athos' newfound position as the current torch-bearer for prophets such as Nostradamus and Baba Vanga, is not one he asked for.

Instead the 36-year-old is motivated by helping those "who need to get out of a hole or the darkness" and to remind them that "life needs to be continued".

Athos said: "I never asked to be called Nostradamus or said that I would be the reincarnation, it's too pretentious. I received this affectionate nickname even knowing that the responsibility of carrying this baggage costs too much.

"I am not a spiritual leader or guru. I am not a role model, I never was or wanted to be, I just always stood out in the sense of listening to people, of guiding and helping to show a possible path."

Athos whose family have had a relationship with the paranormal, explained to the Daily Star how it is that he can picture dramatic events in the future.

He explained: "Everything is an energy frequency, the human being is the antenna that connects to many fields and through the interconnection we can connect and develop such mechanisms.

"Just like me, many other paranormals have outcropped abilities or achieve them with time through several mental exercises.

"Being paranormal is like being able to take an X-ray of the human being, to help those who are in despair, to listen and to contribute in some way to get someone out of a hole, out of a situation that they can't get out of."
