The first-ever long-distance Loch Ness Monster sighting has been reported from China.
Weiming Jiang spotted Nessie from 5,300 miles away in Jiaozhou City after he spotted the beast via a webcam.
Recorder of the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register, Gary Campbell said: “She saw a black dot, then two, very close to the shore.
"They moved on the water for six minutes.
“It is the first accepted sighting we have had from China but just shows you can see Nessie from anywhere in the world.”
Gary has logged 14 sightings this year, including nine by a webcam overlooking the Scottish loch, the Sun reports.
One came from Matt Reddick in Dallas, Texas. Another was from Eoin O’Faodhagain in Co Donegal, Ireland.
Last month, eight-year-old Benjamin Scanlon, from Ickenham, London, captured the sonar image while holidaying with his family on-board the ‘Nessie Hunter’ on August 26 when he spotted the figure deep in the water.
Its sonar pinged something around four metres long, 20 metres below them.
The image showed the blue background of the loch with the heat image of a long, snake-like shape, the Scotsman reports.
Last year there were 13 sightings, including another sonar image that captured a large creature lying close to the bottom of the Loch, taken by Cruise Loch Ness run by Ronald Mackenzie.
Loch Ness Monster mystery 'could finally be solved' as water levels drop to lowest-ever
Since records began 1,143 have been recorded.
However, the most famous Nessie photograph, taken in 1934, was later revealed to be fake during a deathbed confession.
The image is, in fact of a Woolworth's toy submarine with a sculpted wooden head attached and was made by Chris Spurling.
Spurling later confessed that the conspiracy was hatched by his father-in-law, the hunter Marmaduke Wetherell, who was hired by the Daily Mail to find the monster and after faking his own sighting, was publicly humiliated by his employer and hatched a plan to get his revenge.
