A YouTuber claims he caught footage of a "gorilla or Bigfoot" in woodland near Wolverhampton.
Joshua Lester-Rigg, from Telford, said he heard rustling in Cannock Chase and saw the mysterious figure crouching down when he looked back at the footage he was recording live.
Lee Brickley, who was with the expedition in the "haunted" woodlands, told Birmingham Live he also took a photograph he thinks could be Bigfoot – claiming to see a "knee and an arm".
He said the group headed to a location by Birches Valley to visit where the body of one of the children from the 1960s "Babes in the Woods" murders was found.
Lee told the title he has heard of half a dozen Bigfoot sightings and previously camped out in the woods in his quest to catch the beast on film.
He said: "We found the spot, did some investigating then headed to the dense trees nearby – this is where I took the photo at around 9.15 pm.
"I took it, heard some rustling in the dense woods but just thought it probably animals.
"The rest of the night we went to Birches Valley, a supposedly haunted crossroads near Stile Cop then our last location was Castle Ring which we got to around midnight did an investigation before heading home.
"I don't know if it is Bigfoot or anything but looking at the image you can clearly see it looks like some kind of gorilla as if it's crouching like hiding between the trees, you can make out the knee then the arm then the head or face."
Footage recorded by Josh is also said to show a strange shadowy shape in-between the dense trees.
Lee added: "On the video on the left side, it looks similar to a Bigfoot or gorilla or something standing and once we shine the torches into the dark area, it slips round in front of the tree trying to avoid them, it's strange the footage can't be 100% sure it's Bigfoot or gorilla but considering it's from around 10 minutes after the first image which I sent it could be."
The video was watched hundreds of times since being uploaded on YouTube on November 18 and it caused a stir.
One viewer commented: "Wow! Great video man."
Someone else wrote: "We went we seen and believe me it is what Josh has captured."
