A wacky new craze which involves jumping headfirst into bushes from a height has shot to popularity – and participants carry on even after getting bloody injuries and cracked ribs.
The odd trend, dubbed "mushary" by its dedicated fanbase, has its roots in France where people launched themselves into shrubs as part of an anti-American protest.
But today it is surging in popularity again with groups of youngsters who don boiler suits before propelling themselves into greenery.
Three bush-jumpers who partake in the unusual hobby told VICE they “do it for a laugh after parties”.
One admitted: “I’ve already had a cracked rib and a bruised sternum, but I had it coming.
“Mushary is an instinctive thing. You don’t think about it, you just do it. You’re not alert enough to think about the danger.”
A favourite spot for the group is an electric generator, which they can throw themselves off onto the bushes below.
But they say they like to switch it up and often go out to scout new spots to jump into.
There are almost 350 members in their private Facebook group set up specifically to share videos of big jumps and give tips on locations of good bushes to launch inside.

It isn’t the only bizarre and dangerous trend adopted by thrill seekers as it comes after young British children were caught risking their lives in a deadly trend that involves "surfing" on top of lifts.
The dangerous craze sees children as young as 10 clamber through gaps to get on top of moving elevator shafts.
Adrenaline junkies can access the lift roofs and emergency controls using equipment that sells for as cheap as £3 on eBay.
Experts warned them of terrifying risks including plunging to their death and electrocution.
