Only the eagle-eyed with a high IQ can spot the surfboard in under 10 seconds

Over the course of July and August, millions of Britons will flock to the nation’s seaside towns for their summer holidays.

Some will head north to popular destinations such as Blackpool, Liverpool, and Newcastle while others will head south and southwest to places like Sussex, Cornwall, and Devon.

Due to the potential weight of traffic and the sheer number of holidaymakers en route to these popular destinations, there is an increased likelihood that these journeys will take longer.

As a result of increased journey times, this provides the perfect opportunity to solve a brainteaser or two.

The question is whether you can spot the surfboard in the seaside scene below. According to the people behind the puzzle, only the eagle-eyed can spot the surfboard in a matter of seconds.

Did you spot the surfboard? No worries if not, the answer is above.

The surfboard is hidden behind one of the clamshells in the top left corner of the brainteaser just next to a large yellow pair of flip flops.

While brainteasers may seem like brief distractions from being stuck in traffic or on the commute, some experts have suggested they could have long-term benefits.

Brainteasers and crosswords help to stretch and push the brain just like exercise stretches and push a muscle. The healthier the brain the less likely it is to develop a neurodegenerative disease such as dementia.

This isn’t to say that brainteasers will stop someone from developing the condition, other factors can play a much bigger role, but keeping the brain mentally sharp could have a significant impact.

Dementia is one of the UK’s fastest-growing conditions, according to some charities, one person is diagnosed with the condition every three minutes and one in three people born today will develop dementia in their lifetime.
