The mother of a pregnant woman has bizarrely thanked the judge for doing so after it emerged she ran her sister over with her car.
Lisa Bowden, who was high on cocaine at the time of the incident in December 2021, slammed the car into her sister after yelling “I'm going to kill you”.
It is believed that the pair were fighting over a man, when she decided to drive at her sister Jade, who suffered a fracture and bruising after going flying over the bonnet.

It was, at one point, thought she might die, after the attack outside Beef's Fitness Centre in Maidstone.
The case was heard at Maidstone Crown Court, and shockingly the drug-fuelled woman had her two young children in the car at the time.
Judge Oliver Saxby KC sentenced Bowden to 18 months as a result, which saw her mum thank the judge for doing so.
Judge Saxby said: “It was a miracle that she wasn't hit by the other car which just brushed her.
“You placed your sister at significant risk."
This prompted the mother of the two warring women to say, as her daughter was being taken to prison: “I am her mum and you did the right thing.”
The guilty woman is actually 16 weeks pregnant, and plead guilty to charges of unlawful wounding, driving under the influence of cocaine and without insurance.

After her arrest, it was found that she had 128 microgrammes of cocaine by-product, benzoylecgonine in her system, which is more than twice the legal limit of 50.
And, to add more bizarreness to the case, the woman claimed at the time that someone had “spat” the drug into her mouth.
The sister made a full recovery, and the pair have now fully reconciled.
Despite this, Judge Saxby added: “These offences are so serious that appropriate punishment can only be achieved by immediate custody.”
