The Queen's residence is believed to be haunted by former royals, with as many as 25 ghost sightings reported in the walls of Windsor Castle.
According to the travel site Visit Britain, the Queen and Princess Margaret have claimed to have seen the ghost of Elizabeth I.
Typically seen in the library, the ghost of Elizabeth I is believed to saunter around the reading room in heels.
Her footsteps are spookily said to be heard before she appears, The Express reports.
Richard Jones, the author of Haunted Castles of Britain and Ireland, recalled the story of a guard at the castle seeing Queen Elizabeth's I's ghost in the outer room of the library.
As well as this, the ghost of George II has also been spotted in another room below the library, where he was placed in confinement during various periods of "madness".
King George III is also meant to haunt the walls of Windsor Castle with several witnesses claiming they have seen him at the home.
BBC Berkshire reported that he "is seen peering from the window in the room where he was often detained".
Other reports say he's been spotted in one of the bedrooms.

Henry VIII has also allegedly been seen on the battlements of the castle before disappearing through a wall.
His wife Anne Boleyn, who was beheaded, has also allegedly been seen weeping through a castle window.
Hampton Court has reportedly been the site of multiple ghost sightings, including two wives of Henry VII, according to Historic Royal Palaces, a charity that manages Hampton Court.
Jane Seymour, who died after giving birth in the palace in 1537 is said to appear on her son's birthday.

While Catherine Howard, the fifth wife of Henry VIII who was accused of adultery and treason, is also said to haunt the place.
After she was arrested at Hampton Court she managed to escape the guards and ran through a hall, screaming for forgiveness, but she was arrested again and eventually executed at the Tower of London.
Visitors have reported hearing her screams in the hall, which is now known as the Haunted Gallery.
