Flat Earthers once tried to prove our planet was flat, but were left red-faced when their own experiment proved them wrong.
A video clip from a 2018 Netflix documentary, aptly named Behind the Curve, has resurfaced on Reddit showing the moment two men who genuinely believed the Earth was as flat as a pancake slammed their own case shut.
The DIY experiment saw the duo use a camera to film through two holes with one bloke operating the camera on one side as the other guy stood on the opposite side of the panels and they shinned a torch at the device.
The premise was that the torch would have hit the camera when being shone in a straight line because they believe the earth is flat.
However, the light couldn't be seen as the Earth is a spherical shape. The torch had to be held at an angle for the glow to appear on camera.
The Flat Earther said the result was "interesting" as he pondered over how his so-called 'foolproof method' had come undone.
Reddit users were left in hysterics at how badly the experiment failed.
One person wrote: "That documentary is full of flat earthers owning themselves.

"There's even a group of guys that spend a tonne of money for expensive gyroscopes, and they all show the earth spinning by exactly what they said it would indicate if the earth was truly a spinning sphere. When they read the results they blank (like this guy) and then decide the gyroscope is faulty."
Another added: "And I'm sure mental gymnastics were performed to still be a flat earther."
The documentary follows Flat Earth YouTuber Mark Sargent alongside professionals and members of the scientific community, who delve into the facts, as well as conspiracy theories.
