‘Sex offenders and child rapists could be working in Halloween haunted houses’

Halloween haunted houses have been claimed to be filled with real-life monsters after hiring convicted child sexual abusers.

An investigation by Inside Edition has reported that multiple terror attractions in the US have hired people with predatory track records to scare revellers.

At a haunted house in Colombia Station, Ohio, worker Kim Neubauer claimed that she had found out her colleague was a convicted sexual predator.

The publication reports he was a registered sexual offender after raping two children.

Neubauer said: “It’s very scary to have people like that working around children in the dark.”

She added that two other sexual offenders had been working at the haunted house – both had recently been fired Inside Edition was told.

Another offender, Morgan Delos Fowler, had been working at a haunted house in California using the name Trixter the Clown.

In June, he was found to have been running a sex ring which had led to the rape of 18 women and girls.

He was convicted and sentenced to 200 years in a cage.

He had been hired by two men who went by the title of the Bloodshed Brothers – his job had been to creep through the halls of the house.

One employee, who was 14 at the time, said she had been taken to a back room by one of the brothers, Zach Ball, 24.

She said: “It still hurts. I wish I could get the closure, but it still hurts.”

Another employee, 16, said: “They would bring coolers of alcohol, and they would make sure it was sweet stuff, like Mike’s Hard Lemonade or fruity things that would be yummy for kids.”

She said she was pressured into sexual relations with Ball: “I was a kid. And just having this abusive man be the only person that I could rely on for advice or comfort — and he didn’t even give that to me.”

Ball pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a minor and is now a registered sex offender but served only one day behind bars.

“It’s such a slap in the face to me and all of the other victims,” she said.
