Terrifying ‘horror film’ house with rooms of dolls, saws and crucifixes

A four-bedroom Victorian home in Boston has left Instagrammers shaking in their shoes as they say "each room looks like it was based on a horror film"..

The property, which was posted on social media by Zillow Gone Wild, hit the market for around £775,000 ($1million) and appears from the outside to be a normal, well-presented house.

It was described as being "a really cool Victorian home" with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and measuring 4,395 square feet.

But inside the previous owner's choice of decor has caused unease among the 34,000 Instagram users who liked the post.

The main living area is covered in crucifixes hung around the fireplace with several jars and vases scattered around.

However, on the opposite side of the room, there is a huge wooden sign that reads, "Columbine" which gave viewers a chilling reminder of the High School massacre where students Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, murdered 12 students and one teacher.

Moving into one of the extra rooms, the room is cluttered with hundreds of wooden and porcelain dolls – similar to the shelves of dolls in the Annabelle movie.

The basement is filled with shovels, trowels and pitchforks hanging on the walls but the attic features a wall of hanging saws and tools.

In one of the corridors, the walls are covered in framed paintings – but a random pair of detached legs are standing beside the wall.

While this is likely just a man's ideal workshop home, fans couldn't help themselves but draw comparisons to horror movie settings in the comments.

One user wrote: "Each room is based on a different horror movie."

Another added: "They need all the crosses for all those haunted porcelain dolls they have."

A third said: "The Columbine sign scares me more than all the dolls and crosses."

A fourth commented: "So many things to fly off the walls during a poltergeist attack."

The news comes after Zillow shared a property on the market has recently caught the attention of true crime fans because it has a bizarre clause for any potential new owner.

The five-bedroom property located in a cul-de-sac in Fairfax, Virginia also features four bathrooms, large living areas and a garden for just $800,000 (around £615,000).

The home appears to have all the makings of a traditional American family home and is painted in white and blue with large pillars on the front porch.

But the listing reads: "CASH OFFERS ONLY AND NO ACCESS to see lower level and home sold AS IS ONLY with acknowledgement that home will convey with a person living in lower level with no lease in place," leaving Instagram users believing the house comes with a serial killer."
