A conspiracy theorist has claimed that the attack on 9/11 may have been sparked by a time traveller from 2038 who was on a secret government mission.
The September 11 attacks have long become the subject of outlandish conspiracy theories, with people blaming everything from President George Bush to controlled demolitions of the Twin Towers.
However, TikTok user, Ty Notts, took to the app to pose the peculiar theory that the series of four coordinated suicide terrorists, was actually sparked by time travel.
In the clip, which has gained more than 1,700 likes, the conspiracy theorist said: "Time traveller from the year 2038 may have caused the nine 11 world trade centre disaster. This sounds absolutely nuts, but according to Michael Phillips, this story is entirely true.
"You may have heard about an infamous man named John Teeter, who claims to have travelled back in time to 1975 to get an IBM a 5-100 computer saying that the US government needed it for a secret project.
"After returning to the year 2038, he handed the computer over to the government, but first he made a pit stop in 2000 and 2001 to convince the government officials to allow the disaster of 9/11 to happen, even though it apparently could have been easily avoidable.
"He didn't explain why he needed to do this. But several years later in 2008, another man named Michael Phillips chimed in and said that he too was part of the same government project.

"He elaborated saying that John Teeter was in fact a real time traveller. Michael claimed that nine 11 was going to cause an American civil war. They would see the nation fall apart.
"Within a matter of years. Michael also says that by convincing the government to allow the 9/11 disaster to be carried out, he saved millions of lives and by all means, should be considered an American hero."
TikTok users were fascinated by the theory with many believing that it could be true, while others claiming that it is nothing more than fiction.
