A TikTok user who claims to be a 'time traveller' claims to have come back to 2022 to urge people to work together to 'save the Earth.'

The user, who posts under the username @timevoyaging, posted a video with a list of catastrophic natural disasters that people around the world will face by 2024 if the climate crisis isn't averted.

It included warnings of category six hurricanes, megatsunamis and acid rain — all of which, they claim can be prevented.

In the video, which has gained more than 900 likes and 200 comments, the user wrote: "ATTENTION! Yes, I am a real time traveller. Earth needs to be saved.

"By 2024, all storms will become larger, faster and stronger due to extreme climate change. There will be many category six hurricanes, megatsunamis and acid rain becoming common.

"Everyone needs to come together and try and help save the Earth, if not, it will be devastating."

TikTok users were divided over whether to believe that the TikTok user is a time traveller or not but still managed to agree that something needs to be done to stop the climate crisis.

One user wrote: "Even if he’s not a time traveller, he's right we still need to save the Earth."

Another added: "You have my attention what do I do? I want to help."

A third said: "How do we stop this? How do we all help as one!!!"

However, other users dismissed the TikTok user's warning altogether as they compared it to works of fiction.

One user said: "Haaahahah like in 2012."

Another added: "You ain't a time traveller man."

But whether people believe in time travel or not, experts have been pushing for urgency on the climate crisis for quite some time.

In July, a national emergency was declared in the UK after the Met Office issued its first-ever red extreme heat warning, with temperatures reaching 40C (104F) in some parts of the company.

The highest recorded temperature in the UK prior to this was 38.7C in Cambridge in 2019.
