A bloke has claimed that world famous actor Tom Hanks is a time traveller after seeing a photo of a man who met his grandfather in World War Two.
The bizarre claim comes from Chris Lopez, who found a photo of someone appearing to be the spitting image of the 67-year-old actor and director in his grandfather's war memorabilia photo album.
The former United States Navy man took to Facebook to post the picture in a popular time travel Facebook group in 2020, but the images have now resurfaced.

At the time, he wrote: “I think TOM HANKS might be a time traveller.
“Check out this old photo I found going through my grandfather's WW2 scrap book.
“He took this photo in 1944-45 while stationed on the island of Tinian in the South Pacific.”
For those unaware, Tinian is one of the three main islands that makes up the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
And speaking to the Daily Star about his grandfather Mitchell Markow, who was a Pharmacist Mate Second Class (Corpsman), he said: “I asked him about the guy in the photo before he passed away. He couldn't remember the guys name.”

Despite the initial excitement over the photo, Chris does acknowledge that Tom is probably not a time traveller.
But that hasn't stopped him from coming up with a few very plausible theories about it.
He said: “Although I love the idea of Tom being a time traveller, I think it was just a doppelganger

“Ironically Tom was in several WW2 action movies, and it would have made sense to travel in time to do research.
“Another fun theory is that Tom and Steven Spielberg have worked together for years and are close friends.
“If any one has the money, resources and imagination to time travel, it would be them – ironically, Steven Spielberg produced Back To The Future.”
