‘UFO’ caught flying in vid as viewers compare it to ‘Dementor from Harry Potter’

A woman was stunned when she filmed a weird object flying in the skies above London, and viewers reckon it looks like a Dementor from Harry Potter.

The object appears to have four limbs and is floating around in an eery way, much like the monstrous creatures from the fantasy book and film series created by JK Rowling.

It also looks dark against the pale sky and is flailing around in the gentle breeze.

Reddit user u/ErykahBeeh uploaded the clip with the caption: "What in the South London UFO is this?"

It was up-voted hundreds of times and many people shared their thoughts on the spooky apparition, with a common theme.

One user commented: "Yeah, that’s a Dementor playing the sax solo from 'Baker Street.'"

A second user quipped: "We know them locally as Danny the Dementor."

Someone else suggested "Harry Potter", and another commented it was a "Dementor or bin liner".

Another user said: "First thing I thought was a blow-up doll, blown up with helium haha."

Perhaps offering a more rational explanation, a woman said it looked like a missing balloon from a kid's party.

She said: "Omg I think this is my nephew's Spiderman balloon with the broken leg he let go off at his birthday party this afternoon!"

In the Harry Potter series, Dementors were described as floating corpse-like monsters wearing dark rags that fed on people's happiness and made them feel depressed.

This comes after a strange "alien object" flying through the night sky in Kent left locals stumped.

A glowing object was originally mistaken for a shooting star but its flight was erratic and left people questioning if it might be a plane or a pyrotechnics display.
