The US Navy fighter pilot who filmed the iconic tic-tac UFO in 2004 has confirmed there is a second video yet to be released of the encounter.
Commander Chad Underwood, a lieutenant at the time, was stationed on the USS Nimitz when radar operators on fellow aircraft carrier USS Princeton noticed unidentified objects hovering off the San Diego coastline.
His commanding officer, David Fravor, then made visual confirmation during a training exercise, claiming it had dropped from 80,000ft to 20,000ft in “seconds”.
An hour later, Chad flew out and managed to capture the bizarre craft on his FLIR (forward-looking infrared) camera.
The footage has gone on to become one of the most famous videos of a UFO in history and even forced the Pentagon into acknowledging they had been investigating unidentified aerial phenomena.
Despite several videos of similar encounters by US Navy crew since being leaked, there is strong speculation more material is being held back.
And Underwood has now confirmed that in his first ever on-camera interview.
Speaking to investigative filmmaker Jeremy Corbell on his YouTube channel, he said: “At the time there were two sets of tapes which you put in, one was for the right hand display and one was for the left hand display.
“Just so we could record those simultaneously.”

He was then asked by Jeremy to confirm that he took radar footage of the UFO which the “world still had not seen”.
“I did, yeah,” he replied. “They’re probably not going to see it for a long time.”
The reason for this, Chad believes, is because the radar footage uses “active” sensors – meaning it receives data.
“An active sensor could be exploited by our enemies if they could see the data that’s on that screen,” he continued.
“I wish we could release the active sensor radar footage.”
Chad is not the first person to have claimed more videos exist of the UFOs.
Luis Elizondo, the former head of the secretive Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), claimed the Pentagon is in possession of a 23-minute long video.
And Kevin Day, who also witnessed the UFO, previously said there is a longer video yet to be released.
