A post-it note from a takeaway employee to a customer has divided TikTok after a video of the customer finding the message went viral.

The woman who discovered the note was outraged by the message and described it as "passive-aggressive" on TikTok but some people who commented on the post didn't see what the problem was.

The employee had attempted to discreetly tell the woman that her lashes were wonky by placing a note in her takeaway food box and rather than embarrass the woman by saying it out loud attempted to take a more tactile approach.

However, the woman did not see this as a friendly helping hand and perceived the move as a way to get one over on her, reports the Mirror.

In the post on TikTok, she wrote: " "Happy anniversary to the time an employee utilized a passive-aggressive post-it to inform me of my wonky eyelash…thank you, I think."

The note said: "Your right eyelashes are coming off…"

The woman, whose right eyelash is apparently falling off, can be heard snorting as she zooms in on the note.

Her view sparked a debate – as people defended the employee who wrote the note warning the woman.

One person commented: "That's not passive-aggressive, that's so kind and discreet."

Another said: "What a real one, oh my god."

A third added: "They might have been a little bit awkward and afraid to tell you."

Luckily, the woman appeared to reconsider her original stance, as she replied: "I'm sure that was the case!

"Nonetheless it made for a good laugh at my own expense, I took the lashes off entirely after that one haha."

Meanwhile, a woman went viral after sharing how she has celebrated St Patrick's Day for the last eight years with a stranger.

Earlier this week, two teen boys recorded themselves spending a night at an IKEA branch after fleeing police.

The Swedish furniture giant warned against "illegal trespassing" after the video went viral on Thursday.

The now-deleted video shows the group hiding in shelving units until the store shut at 6pm.

They wrote in the clip: "We stayed at Ikea overnight and this is what happened."
