A bloke has turned to pancakes and pizza in a bid to fuel up for gruelling fitness world record attempt.
Luke McGill, from County Durham, has stressed the "win-win" potential of his burpee challenge which he admits will be "24 hours of hell and suffering" but all for a good cause
An impressive 10,856 burpees is the target to beat, with Joe Reverdes setting the record in July last year, but personal trainer Luke hopes to smash that target as he raises £2,000 to aid with the cost of living crisis.

Fitness freak Luke, who has been training away at OneGym in Bishop Auckland has since revealed the next steps he is taking to hitting his coveted 10,857 burpees, including "extra carbs" and fatigue fixes.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, the ripped World Record hopeful said: "It's all for charity, so it's a win-win situation. I've completely changed my approach with the reps and sets, I was working on interval training before and completely gassing out.
"Now I've lengthened the sets however I'm taking it slow trying to keep my heart rate as low as possible.
"I've started consuming a lot of extra carbs and sports drinks in the lead up to my burpees, I wasn't aware of the nutrition side in duration events as I've never done anything like this before."

Those extra carbs, which Luke says he ups to "700 grams a day" two days before a training session, is paired with "GU energy gels" and "SIS sports drinks" that "give me a boost in both carbs and sodium".
He added: "I try to consume 700 grams of carbs each day, usually consisting of pasta, pizza and pancakes."
Luke, who is diving in at the deep end of performing over 10,000 burpees in 24 hours, has said those changes have made a "great impact" on his training.
Explaining why he wants to attempt the World Record, gym-loving Luke said: "Some people like myself just like to be pushed to our limits.
"I've always put everything into all aspects of life, so maybe this is like a final test to see what I can achieve. The journey leading up to this challenge isn't great as your body suffers quite a lot, but it'll all be worth it".
The World Record hopeful added that it will be satisfying "once that final buzzer goes off and hopefully the record is broken."
Personal trainer Luke had previously said he was attempting the World Record as a way to "stop people complaining" when he sets the exercise for those training with him.
