World’s deepest hole dubbed ‘entrance to hell’ after miners dug 40,000ft

Earth's deepest artificial hole has been dubbed the “entrance to hell” after miners cracked 40,000 feet below the surface.

The Kola Superdeep Borehole, in Russia, was created by the Soviets in the name of science.

Experts dug to previously untouched depths in hopes of learning more about what lies beneath our feet.

Digging began near Murmansk in the 70s. After two decades the hole reached 7.5 miles deep (12,200 meters).

Drilling ceased by 1992 after temperatures at the bottom reached a staggering 180 degrees Celsius – significantly higher than scientists predicted.

A noise branded the “sounds of hell” was claimed to have been recorded from the hole which, terrifyingly, is only covered by a rusty metal lid.

The 17-second memo was recorded by scientists using several heat-resistant microphones that they lowered into the hole.

Scientists must discover a way to overcome the temperature issues if they wish to continue their exploration of the Earth's core.

Despite throwing in the towel, the drilling wasn’t for nothing, as several scientific discoveries were made.

Including fining 24 new types of long-dead single-celled organisms and gained access to rocks that were 2.7 billion years old.

Earlier this month the Daily Star reported that one of the shocking finds included what they thought was water from Noah's great flood.

A group of scientists working on the hole encountered water where there was supposed to be a thick layer of crust, "disproving the myth that the earth is made up of dry, rocky layers".

Scientists were shocked to discover that instead of solid, dry, dense rock massive amounts of water were found.

In a video exposing the so-called Kola conspiracy, Plano Existential claims that the Biblical event of Noah’s flood is a reality and the flood waters drained to this subterranean sinkhole.

The narrator said: "Nobody has drilled into the mantle or crust so there's no observation as to what's under the crust.

"I would like you to question what we've been told.

"The back up the account of a great flood. Genesis refers to 'all the fountains of the great deep'.

"Rock shouldn't be porous but there's water there, supporting the claim that there was a great flood covering the entire earth."
