RSPCA officers have removed 19 dogs from a property in Sydney’s west after police charged a man in connection with bestiality offences and promoting child abuse material.
The 40-year-old man from Hebersham will face Mount Druitt Local Court on Wednesday after police say they found child abuse material, conversations about abusing children and material about bestiality on his phone.

Police will allege the man produced the bestiality material.
The investigation into the man began in April after the Australia Federal Police received a report from the US National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children about a person uploading child abuse material to a Google platform.
AFP investigators on Tuesday executed a search warrant at the man’s home where they seized his mobile phone.

AFP Detective Sergeant Navi Pandher said the alleged offences were highly disturbing.
“The AFP and its partners will continue to stay a step ahead of this vile industry to ensure those preying on children face the full force of the law,” he said.
The man was charged with two counts of possessing or controlling child abuse material; three counts of using a carriage service to transmit, make available, publish, distribute or promote child abuse material; and one count of engaging in an act of bestiality.
The maximum penalties for each of the offences are 15, 15 and 14 years’ imprisonment respectively.
